My only birthing coach is overseas until the month of birth...suggestions?

Hi ladies! Long story but basics are that I live in the UK and my mom is flying in for the birth from the USA for the birth in April.

She found a birthing center near her to ask questions but she would like some good resources on how to prepare to be my coach, even tho we are a part. she will be great for me as she TRULY cares about me, is very very patient and encouraging, and won't get mad at me if i yell at her!

So suggestions? She has my birth plan and knows all that...
She has considered joining a class with other pregnant ladies/coaches to observe and learn but its kind of expensive. I think its so sweet that she would do that!

I think she picked up one book but i'm not sure and i gave her www.alldoulas.com to browse.

Thank you IA!

I would advise the book The Birth Partner by Penny Simkin. Maybe looking up and calling some local doulas for some tips? maybe see if there's any doula trainings going on in her area and calling the trainers to see how much that costs. who knows maybe she'll love it and become a doula all the way!
