How often and with what do you clean your bath toys with?

Do you have and bath toys that are not plastic? We are trying to get rid of plastic toys, but haven't found a bath toy alternative..

DS loves playing with stainless steel bowls, cups and cook utensils (ladles, spoons). We wash them in the dishwasher.

I chuck it all in the dishwasher. And those squirty things that fill up with black crud went in the garbage a loooong time ago. Nasty.

We have a Duplo Lego boat and those plastic cups

and I scrub them with baking soda. I use anold toothbrush to get around the edges. Mostly we just get soap scum on the toys not mildew.

Dishwasher or hot soapy water w/ vinegar. I agree w/ adding kitchen utensils to the tub. I do let DD have some plastic in the tub, though.

I had never cleaned bath toys. Ever. And my oldest is now 13. Isn't that nasty? Well this week after 13 years i finally stopped procrastinating and cleaned out the bath toy bucket. Hot soapy water, then a sink of hot water w/a tbs or so of bleach. Yep bleach i said it. The youngest saw her bath toys all clean that night and was floored.
