ant bites on a 2-year old

my 2-year old was watering the garden and some ants bit him in the legs. what can i put on him or give him to help with the pain and swelling? they were those little black and red ants.

any help would be much appreciated!

My DD got fire ant bites last year on her back. I put Tea tree oil on them & they went away so quickly. They didn't even itch her. I was amazed. I missed one, & it got red & swollen & itched. It made a huge difference. We have used it on chiggers & ant bites ever since.

tried antihistamine cream, hydrocortisone cream,  then tea tree-worked great...  also put aloe vera/lidocaine ICE on them.  will keep tea tree oil in my home.  thank you

We recently used garden plantain on bee stings. I also use it regularly for mosquito bites and exczema

Funny- I read about a homemade natural ant killer on this blog this morning. I'm going to be trying it soon- will update with how it works!

We usually get them pretty bad, but this year they started and then disappeared on their own. Weird now that I think about it.
