Ok, so I read through 12 pages on this forum and couldn't find what I was looking for. I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. I haven't been in years. DS is 6 months old and EBF. I am not sure if I should just have them clean my teeth and looked at and call it a day or not. Is it safe to have the x-rays while breastfeeding (if I wear all the lead aprons)? What about local freezing for the fillings (I am pretty sure I have some cavities and though they aren't bothering me now I plan to BF for a long time and don't want to wait till the cavities are bad). I also have high hopes for getting braces (we can finally afford them (kind of) and will need some teeth pulled (including likely wisdom teeth). What are the dangers of doing all this while BF a young baby?? What precautions should I take? I don't want to just trust them when they tell me it is all safe. I could wait on the braces, but I think if I don't do it now I never will. What do you all think??
