Now that I finally got the page to load, I'll ask a couple of questions...

What is your favorite time of day? Why?

What was your favorite book as a child? What is it now?

If you won a million dollars, what would be the first thing you'd buy?

My favorite time of day is around sunset in the summer, I love sitting outside and watching the sun with a cool glass of iced tea

My favorite book as a child was- "Just as long as we're together" by Judy Blume, in fact I loved all her books and have started my oldest daughter on reading them.
I don't really have a favorite book now, I haven't read much since becoming a mom unless you count parenting books and knitting books

If I won a million dollars, the first thing I'd do is put a nice chunk away for my kids educations, then pay off my house and anything left over would be put in savings. I'm not a big spender, and we have had years where we had a lot of extra income and years where we have had little and I always seem to be frugal no matter the amount in my bank account, so I imagine I'd not spend it all at once.

My dream vacation would be to go to Australia and see everything I possibly can. I've got a good friend who lives there and she keeps telling me I need to come visit.... maybe one day

Pets- We have a retired greyhound named Jackie, and a humane society adopted kitty named Sweetpea (though her name is inaccurate as she isn't very sweet, lol)

we had 5 hermit crabs but they all went to a 'better' place one by one

Top albums- oh thats tough. I love anything by Bon Jovi, Cyndi Lauper and Madonna, I'm totally an 80s rock gal.

I prefer to be the passenger, then I can

My older kids are both in band, my daughter plays the flute (quite well too!) and my son just started french horn.

My husband plays online roleplaying games (me too!) we are both playing WoW (world of warcraft) right now. He also enjoys pen and paper role play games, dungeons and dragons and stuff like that. Oh and paintball,he had a paintball business for a while, THAT was an adventure!

I'm wearing a black lacy... oh never mind

I'm wearing a huge purple eeyore sweatshirt, and yoga pants

The last thing I ate was BBQ from Famous Daves. Just got home actually We stopped for starbucks on the way home so I'm currently sipping a caramel macchiato (sp?)

I am taking my vitamins, though I have found it is easier on my stomach to take them right before I go to bed, so I haven't taken one yet today. I actually have a lot of pills to take daily.
-metformin twice a day
-b 12
-calcium and magnesium
-prenatal
-pro biotics

a perfect day for me would be one where my kids dont whine, the house is clean, and I can sit down with a cup of herbal tea and knit while listening to the birds chirp outside or my lovely wind chimes slowly chiming with a warm breeze..

one can dream right?

Outside my kitchen window (actually got up and ran to look!) I see my beloved clothes line that I use every chance I get, a huge tree that gives us lots of shade in the summer, and my kids swing set

I met my husband online. We were both playing a roleplay game called Everquest. We met in person about a year after we started emailing each other, he flew out to Va to meet me and my kids. He stayed about a week and we had a great time getting to know each other. He flew home to Co, and came back a month later for another week. By 4-5 months later I was flying out here to live with him, we got married a year later
Its not the perfect love story but it really suits us, and we are wonderful together, after we were married and had Elliana together, he officially adopted my first two kids. one very happy family

Being a fellow grey owner - where did Jackie race? How many races? How long have you had her (or maybe, how long has she had you, if she's anything like mine!)

What was the journey that you brought you where you are now?

When we adopted Jackie she was considered "old" at 5yrs. The paperwork we got on her says she is from Pennsylvania, thus her name was Penns Jackie.

I researched her ear tattoos and found that she raced in Pennsylvania and also in Colorado before retiring, and actually came in 2nd at a race or two

Shes about 11yrs old now, and getting to be quite the old lady, moving slower and doesn't run as much as she used to

---
How I got where I am now. A lot of growing up. I became a mom at 17 and was basically forced into a marriage I didn't want, because it was drilled into me that no one would love an unmarried teen mother and I'd better get married now (then) because I'd never get another chance... ugh.
Once I figured out how to stand up for myself and make a better change for myself and my kids I did.

Its been a long process to learn to love myself and allow someone else to love me. I have a great relationship with my kids, and my teenager shares more with me than I ever did with my mom, so I am very thankful for that

Probably totally answered the question wrong, LOL!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

What do you do for work now?

Favorite dessert? Favorite snack food?

Would you rather go to a party with tons of people or have dinner/coffee with two close friends?

When I was a kid I always wanted to be a nurse, OB nurse to be specific, I wanted to help deliver babies
After having my first baby that quickly changed to wanting to become a midwife.

My work right now is my kids, I am a happy SAHM. I do some part time as needed work in my MILs law office, taking care of paperwork and answering phones if she has a super busy week.

My favorite dessert has to be ice cream. I love just about any kind, though I usually reach for mint chocolate chip if its there.

Favorite snack food is usually something crunchy. If I am craving a snack I'll first look for something that crunches before anything else, carrot sticks, celery, and if I don't have those, then I open the pantry for chips or pretzels.

I'm such a shy person in real life, I think I would much rather prefer a quiet dinner or coffee with two close friends
