How old are your friends? Anywhere from 18-65. Seriously, I used to have such issues about m age and no one wanting to be my friend because I was the young mom. I went to a playgroup and every single mom there was at least 11 years older than I was...I felt so strange! But then I just focused on making friends one person at a time, regardless of age. If I had that moment- you know, the one that makes you look at a person and say "Oooh, I like you!"- I'd just make a point to be friendly. And that's why I'm meeting up tonight with my friend in her late 30's to watch American Idol with her teenage girls, and I'm meeting up tomorrow with my friend in her mid 20's to have a playdate with her 15 month old, and I'm meeting up on Friday with my friend in her mid 50's (that's a guess, I'd never ask!) to have some coffee and escape mommyhood.

How old were you when you started having kids?
First pregnancy (m/c) I was 25. I had DD when I was 26.

How old are your kids now?
4.5yo, and I'm 20 wks pg

How old are your friends?
Most of our friends are around our age, between 27 and 35 probably. But they are all childless. Most of DD's friends' parents are older than us, 35-early 40's or so.

I don't feel like I SHOULD be the "baby of the group" at DD's social functions, because I'm so used to us being the "older, more responsible ones" at our own social functions (even the older ones still party a good bit). But I feel like a fricking little kid when I take DD to her friends' bday parties and such. They all own houses, and have steady stable successful jobs. We rent, I'm in school again, and DP works a perfectly fine but nowhere-to-advance-to job.

How old are you? 39 - I'll be 40 in June.
How old were you when you started having kids? I was 24 when I had ds1.
How old are your kids now? 14 (almost 15), 4 (5 in May) and 2.5. I'd planned to be done by 31, but my reproductive life has never really worked out according to plan.
How old are your friends? I don't really have any, except my lifelong bff, who is also 39. I spend some time with the Vancouver Tribe from MDC, and they range from early 20s to...40, I think.

Wow, I feel like I'm at the other end of the spectrum! I'm usually the oldest mom!
I'm 48 (going to be 49 next month!)
I had my dd at 21, my oldest ds at 24 and my youngest ds at 41.
My friends range in age from mid 20's to 60. I have friends who I've known since my oldest kids were little and new friends I've made since having my youngest. I have friends that have kids and friends that don't. I really believe that it's not age but common interests that bring people into our lives. And sometimes they stay for a long time and sometimes they don't. But I always learn something from them all!

How old are your friends? 16-80 My Mom-Mom was my best friend and she passed at 89 a few weeks ago. My youngest friend is our mother's helper. She is so sweet! I do not have a lot of freinds, most of the people I am closest to are family. They range in age from 29-80.

Take care!

Most of my long-time friends haven't had kids yet, so I've started trying to make new friends who specifically are parents, and they're typically a bit older.

How old are your friends? Early 20s to mid 30s mostly

Like many ppl have said, not quite where I thought I'd be. When I was younger I wanted five kids and to be done by 30. I thought I'd get married at 19 (was almost 21 instead) and have a kid every 2 years. The first one I TTC for 18 mos. and she will be at least 3 when I have another. I might hit 3 kids by 30.

I'm 29
Had DS1 at 19 and DS2 at 26 (they are 10 & 3)
My "friends" include my sisters, SIL and DP we're all the same age, pretty much, +/- 10 years.

I have a tough time being friends with the moms at school, too. We live in a fairly affluent community and most of the other moms are sahms in their late 30's & feel kind of like the odd (wo)man out. I'm just at a different place in life than they are, for the most part.

How old are your friends? 26-36. Most of my close friends are from the first time I went to university and then I made a bunch of new, much younger friends when I went back to school.
