This may be tmi but just wondering...

if this is normal or if it is something that needs to be checked...
DS's um 'hole' is kinda on one side - so when he pee's it always goes to one side of the dipe (used to leak out the side until we switched to cloth!)... its not like on the side compleatly, but on the side of the tip.
Is that ok or something that should be checked on?
He is almost 7 months and has never been to the doctor aside from the one at the hospital the day he was born.
I just noticed this not all that long ago and was a bit worried because I remember a neighbors LO had to have surgery to correct something like this (he was circ'd tho - I duno if that matters tho)
Sorry if that is tmi...

if it doesn't bother him don't worry. If it was down his shaft I would say yes but this sounds like a minor hypospadia and not an issue.

I think it's fine. One of my babies peed at a 90 degree angle to the right for a few months. It was b/c the foreskin had detached on the left side, but was still attached on the right side, so the tip of the foreskin was kinked to the right. when the right side detached, it straightened out.

: what QOTP said if one side is not as attached as the other then the urine stream will come out crooked. I am assuming you mean the opening in his foreskin and not the glans right?

The foreskin because it is just skin will get bunched up more on the top, bottom or side and cause the urine stream to be off center that is totally normal. My ds also leaked out the right or left side more during the last 3 yrs it changes as he grows.

It definatly isnt something that needs to be fixed.

From the sounds of it, your son has Hypospadias. In some cases, surgery is good idea. But in general is a hard choice to make. But considering how mild your sons Hypospadias is, I would say its best to do nothing at all. If he wishes to correct it when he is an adult, he can. To be honest I think most doctors now a days would not suggest surgery in your sons case.

If your concerned, see a doctor and he can give you some ideas, and perspective on the issue, but really I think you have very little to be worried about.

This does not appear to be associated with hypospadias. (or epispadias either) If a child has hypospadias, the opening of the foreskin will be shifted to the underside, (or the upper side with epispadias) instead of the left or right. This does appear that it is associated with separation or may just be a normal variation. Even if it was hypospadias/epispadias, there is a distinct absence of symptoms to indicate it would be anything other than minimal and insignificant and would not need correction.

Could be a result of the circumcision... that when you remove the frenulum, you end up gouging the meatus.
