Hello all,
Does anyone know of any kind of legal advocacy/homebirth support organization who can help those who wind up having to defend their homebirth choices (especially so when we "bump" with enemies of homebirth such as doctors, hospitals, CPS and such)?
I have a friend who recently did a hospital transfer and they immediately put the baby in ICU due to a positive GBS test. Not only was she faced with a lot of disapproval for attempting homebirth, they would only let her see the baby every 2 hours (no breastfeeding on demand).
I think it's important for every homebirther to have a legal connection just in case...so, the question is: Does such a connection exist? I am in CA.
