Baby's hair in c-section scar

I heard a new one today. Mother is pregnant with twins. Told she is going to have a c-section. Nothing new. What threw me was this. Her first was a c-section (don't know why) so they told her that her second would also be a c-section. After the birth they told her it was a good thing she had a c-section because the baby's hair was attached to her scar. Has anyone heard of this. I'm not sure how far apart the two kids are in age. maybe 3 and 18 months something like that.

Just curious.

That is a new one to me, too.

so the babes hair grew out of the amniotic sac and adhered to the scar? Must have been some crazy long and super strong hair. That's a new one for me.

I've read this post like 18 times and I can't even figure out how that's physically possible...

Maybe it's been too long since I've studied anatomy, but I just can't figure that one out...

Nope, can't figure that one out. Except that it sounds like a way to make a mom never doubt the repeat or regret no attempt to VBAC. Like the moms who are told, "good thing you had a section, the cord was wrapped around the baby's (fill in the blank)."

What a load of crap. I wonder who fed her that line?

Perhaps somehow they meant "placenta" - if the baby's placenta implants in the scar, it can have trouble detaching...otherwise, I'm stumped.

thanks for the input - this was kind of my take on it. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I don't know the mom well enough to say what I want to say back to her. Like are you crazy to believe this - they have fed you a line.

Placenta..................hair................

Unless that mom's amniotic sac was ruptured for a very long time, how the HECK would that be possible?

Placenta, sure, that's possible. But hair?

What's more sad to me is that the mom probably just accepted that explanation.

Is this anything like when the baby's hair grows into the mom's liver? Or into the skin on her backside so you can see the baby hairs just pokin' out? (just some other areas, like the c-sec scar area, that may also become affected by this hair-growing-outside-of-the-uterus phenomenon.)

(ok, pardon me, maybe I'm being too snarky....forgive me....)
