my ridiculous belly casts.

So, here is the link to my belly casts. The huge one is from this pregnancy...in which i gave birth at 39 weeks to a TINY 5 lb 10 oz little man.
The much smaller oneon the right is from my first pregnancy, 3 years ago, when I had my 41.5 week, 9 lb 10 oz girl.

Does that make sense to ANYONE else?

Anyway...you can see from the left one how HUGE I was from this pregnancy, and why everyone thought we were having TWINS to the point wher I actually got checked for twins at 31 weeks......

anyway..had to share...please overlook the huge boobs..

Those are so beautiful!!

And the size looks right to me. Second babies always seem to carry bigger and I can see in the belly on the left that you were carrying much further out in front. That's how my body grew with the second and third pregnancies.

What terrific keepsakes.

aw... does it make you miss the belly? i took my second shower since giving birth this morning, and felt that familiar tinge of loneliness without the little person inside me. i love being a new mom and holding him in my arms, but there was something so wonderful about having him inside, which i miss. if i have another baby someday, i will definitely have to do a bellycast.

you had a beautiful belly!

Love those belly casts. Yes, it is interesting how much bigger you were the second time with the smaller baby. But that's pretty common, isn't it?

What are you going to do with the casts? I haven't done any but always thought it would be neat to paint or collage on them.

Gorgeous. I was tiny with my first, who remains the biggest of the lot. First-time mums tend to have trivial details like abdominal muscles which put up a bit of a fight- second-time round they remember that resistance is futile and just surrender immediately.
