37w5d.

i am really, REALLY annoyed that my husband left half a dozen, fresh baked, chocolate chip cookies on the counter for me this morning. WHAT THE HELL WAS HE THINKING!!?? i ate 3 before 10am. :

i'm convinced he wants this baby to weigh 15 pounds at birth.

other than cookies and sleeping almost 12 straight hours last night...nothing out of the ordinary here. this baby is content to keep growing at a terrifying rate inside my body. until i explode.

37+5

I have to put both hands around my belly and support it if I want to roll over- otherwise it feels like i am pulling a muscle- round ligaments maybe.

I am sewing up burp cloths and breast pads today- listening to some reggae right now.

Baby is active- bumping around in there. Going to the chiro tonight- yay!

My doula came over last night for dessert (oatmeal carob bars) and some tea- she is the best and i am so so happy that she is gonna be at my birth!

We are ready for you baby

Hope everyone that is ready gets to meet their babies soon!

It took me 3 pregnancies, but I have finally found a better way to roll over than rolling on your back and hauling your giant belly over your whole body. I actually go the other way. I roll towards my belly, then get up a little on my elbows and knees to bring it under my body to the other side...it is sooooo much easier and less painful than flopping the giant beast over the top!

OMG Mosesface...if my DH left me 6 fresh baked cookies...I'd be kissing his feet ROFL!!!!!! Yummm...maybe we need to make some this afternoon.

Trish, I hope this is it for you!!

I am getting nervous for my midwife appt on Friday...I do not want them giving me the induction talk, I refuse to listen!

Speaking of chocolate chip cookies....I made a big batch the other night and can not stop eating them...I keep justifying each one by saying soon the baby will come and then it is back to watching the diet and trying to shed these baby pounds so, enjoy it while you can!

I will check back later, it is rainy and icky here. We are going to run a few errands and get the truck gased up just in case! (we have about a 45 minute drive to the birth center)

(For anyone wondering - True Blue & I have the same midwife & due dates 1 day apart!)

HA! I saw your earlier message & thought, OOH, YES! True Blue can go EARLY! I am, so far as I can tell, nowhere in the ballpark whatsoever - seeing her Friday.

I told Miriam that I thought finding out that she was heading over to someone else's house would probably stop labor if it were starting, so I guess the daily check-in is where I'd hear that! (Hey, hear that, Baby? Maybe you can have a conversation with True Blue's baby & figure it out amongst yourselves!)

And mosesface - wow, I'd be soooo psyched if my DH would feel compelled to cook anything at all BUT, since DH is a massage therapist...I think that makes up for a lot! Wheeeeeee!

Trish, thinking of you!
Kate, you too if this is the day!

I tried to post this morning but the server wouldn't take it. But it fine, actually because I have more news to report now anyway.

Just got back from a doctor's visit: I am nearly a complete 4 cm dilated, 75% effaced, and baby is at -2 station. I had almost the exact same numbers with DS at the exact same time (he was born within 48 hours of the point I am at right now), but it is a little surreal to be walking around with numbers that would qualify me for admittance into a birthing center if I were actually in labor. A big YEA for my body getting the early work taken care of so I don't have to when labor starts!

Feeling "uncomfortable" but not at all in labor. Lots of cramping today, but also baby is still moving around a lot and rolling left to right a lot, so some of the discomfort is just from that.

I'm interested to see what the gigantic barometric pressure drop here in the midwest and the new moon tomorrow night bring to our DDC.

Thinking of you all! (And majorly craving fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies now)

OMG, she is coming to my house right after you. She told me she had an appt in Brooklyn so she'd come here right after that. LOL you actually just helped me out bc I couldn't remember if it was tomorrow or Friday!! I'll be sure to post on here if anything is happening at any time with me here, so you can halt things for a few hours lol. Don't worry though my labors aren't long so I doubt we'll really have a problem.

And um your DH is a massage therapist??? OMG I'll trade DH's with RIGHT NOW!!! Mine tries to like come out the other side of my ribcage when I ask for one lol.

Yay, lovetobemama...hope this all equals an easy labor when it comes!

True Blue...yep, DH is indeed a massage therapist & YES, it's a huge, huge bonus, especially when you wake up at 3am with a charlie horse... this cracked me up, "Mine tries to like come out the other side of my ribcage when I ask for one lol." Hey, it's the thought that counts, right?

you are all so right. i am so blessed to have such a sweet husband. it just shows you how wacky my hormones are right now -- mad about dh making me cookies!! ridiculous!!

i ate them all, btw.

That's ok....sometimes we overreact a little. I can see not wanting the calories, but at this point I just don't care anymore LOL.

So, I was outside with the kids for a couple hours this afternoon (which felt so nice, btw) and walked around a little bit and I definitely think it upped my contractions now, which is awesome! I forgot how much going for a walk gives contractions...I need to start doing it daily! Even if they don't turn into anything, I still think it's good for positioning and helping the real thing come along!

New moon and big weather change - I, too, am wondering if those will have any effect! 38w+2, and I would say that probably am going to be around for another couple weeks. I've been getting lots & lots of B-H. The last two days, it felt like I was just having one long one during the day, with a few breaks in between. Today has been much quieter, although I did have one big one during my massage.

That's right - last official pregnancy massage. I've been going monthly to a woman who specializes in prenatal. She has a table with cutouts for breasts & belly, and it is heavenly to lie on my belly for an hour. For this last month, I treated myself to two. But didn't bother making another appointment...hopefully there will be a baby soon!

They threw a shower for us at work today (us=myself and another pregnant woman, same name as me, due 2 weeks after me). It was very sweet & people were very generous. If only if only I had a little bit more wrapped up at work, I would be able to completely relax & feel like this baby can come at any time! As it is, I'm hoping to put in two long days at work and be in good shape on that front.

At home, I need to get the guest room cleaned out (currently filled with the tools/materials DH is using to finish tiling the bathroom) and made up for our house/dogsitters, and give our room and the office-come-nursery tidied, vacuumed, mopped. THEN I'll sit around eating bon-bons all day whilst waiting for Baby. Ha!

I've been trying to reply to this post all day!!!

39w 6d and hoping baby decides to make an appearance soon. I'm as ready as I can be - my house is presentable (four kids age 2, 5, 7 and 9 ...it's always chaos!!!) and I have most of the baby stuff gathered.

My kids, dh and I did some mendhi on my belly a few days ago ... my 39w3d mendhi belly ... and I got bored tonight and did some more on my left hand/wrist

Baby hasn't been very active today - I'm off to convince him/her to move around a bit and reassure mama!!!

Oh I am so trying this tonight! I hate rolling over because of the pains in my hips! THANKS for the tip!

Had appt with midwife today. My GBS results came back negative and my hemoglobin is good. Yay!

Getting some bopping around near my cervix area. Hadn't had any BH today until I was hustling to my car in a cold wind after work. Having them again now.

We went to PetCo and got a sink adapter for use in filling the labor pool. Now DH has to find our tarp and verify that the new hose is long enough. Trying to convince him that this is indeed an important task...I gotta have my warm tub to soak in or there will be hell to pay!

We had awful weather all around us yesterday. Tornadoes and such all over the place. Obliviously, I was in the kitchen cooking up my early labor chicken soup and bagging my labor tea ice cubes. DH didn't tell me much about the situation. He knows my fear of tornadoes so I think he knew it was better for him to keep an eye on the weather and let me be!

Looks like we are all on a chocolate chip cookie binge. I made a huge batch for SuperBowl Sunday and ended up freezing 3 slice and bake rolls. Everyone has strict instructions to bake some for me after the birth! :

Now I'm off to enjoy some chocolate cake and hot fudge icing that my dear wonderful amazingly lovely Aunt sent to me.

Hormone alert: more uncontrollable inappropriate laughter today when I accidentally dropped my pen on the floor where my DH was standing and then I tried to give him "that look". You know the one...the one that boys give you when you are wearing a low cut blouse and they "accidentally" drop something in front of you. Well it didn't really come out right because I was already laughing and then I really lost it. My coworkers really find me interesting right now.

here! at the end of my 36th week! ezra was born in my 37th week so i am hoping to get through next week and stay preggo! i have my mother's blessing on sunday and really want to stay preggo for it, at least.

it doesn't feel like this babe will be born as soon as ez was though.

did major nesting today in my bedroom. re=arranged all the furniture with DH, hung pictures on the wall of ezra and i from bali, rumaged through the birth kit stuff and organized it into the various stages of need...labor comfort, sheets and towels, then immediate babe receiving blankets and post partum pads. getting excited!!!
