So I've been thrifting for sweaters to unravel lately. It's kind of a dorky obsession, especially with the prices/kinds of yarn my LYS carries.
I made this nb set with yarn unraveled from an american eagle 100%lambswool sweater and HPY contrast. Here are hanks of it drying in my bathroom after being washed. It really is quite lovely and soft.
The sweater is the Kipling baby sweater, modified. I cast on in the round because I didn't want seams up the sides of the body, and the sleeve instructions didn't make sense to me so I just picked up stitches and knit down. ... yeah, didn't exactly follow the pattern line by line. The pants are LTK picky pants with a seed stitch elastic waist and ribbed cuffs to match the sweater's collar and cuffs.
K, here it is. Can't figure for the life of me how to post it on ravelry... must be a lack of sleep thing.
Ooooo... and the pants were my first successful attempt (after many failed attempts) at the kitchner stitch. I'm so proud
... watch me have a girl!!!!!!!!
