What is your favorite reusable lunch bag?

I was looking into the bags made by Mimi the Sardine. I was wondering about the quality and if anyone has any experience with them.

Thanks!

I couldn't find anywhere that stated what these bags are made of. Any idea?

Dd uses a BYOB neoprene lunch bag. I did a lot of searching and could not find anywhere that neoprene was unsafe. So, we'll keep doing that until it falls apart, which doesn't appear to be anytime soon.

this is from the mimi the sardine website:

"All of our products are made from Swedish cotton prints that have been treated with an environmentally sound coating to make them permanently water and soil resistant. Just wipe and wear and machine wash as needed.

The fabrics are produced in accordance with strict environmental laws and are Oeko-Tex certified; the coating is made from acrylic and not PVC. We use no chlorine in the production process, and only water soluble dyes. Mimi the Sardine is proud to contribute to the environmental health of Mother Earth."

I think I saw somewhere that the bags are lead free as well.

The Mimi bags are good quality.

DD had the "mouse" one (pink) and DS had ladybugs (green). They actually had the small backpack varieties.

DD used hers daily for school for two years with no problems. The pink, IMO, did not look as good after two years as the green. DD decided, though, that it was too babiesh this year (4th grade). They also had the handbag ones before.

The only problem with them was they weren't quite the shape I would have liked. Our water bottles are fairly tall (thermos kind, not siggs--- those are short) so I would have preferred a taller thinner bag.

Right now the kids have bags that say "Organic Revolution" on them from Whole Foods & I like them. They're just plain cotton, though (with a handle & velcro at the top).

I adore the BuiltNY Gourmet Getaway. You can stuff a lot of little containers in those suckers. I need to sell the To-Go-Ware's and Laptop Lunchboxes so I can get a few more of the Gourmet Getaways - we just don't use the others much (well, at all). Plus the one we have is black/khaki, so hubby doesn't feel like a pansy taking his lunch back to work in it. Plus I believe they're machine washable. Definitely a good thing with boys in the house. *sigh*

The only difference between ours and the GG, is that our have side pockets that fit a .4L Sigg bottle. I love that aspect of it. We also have the BuiltNY BYOB sleeves for our larger Siggs. They are great products, IMO.

We've washed our lunch bags several times over the past 2 years. They always end up looking like new fresh out of the wash.

I am actually just getting it at REI. That way I don't have to pay for shipping and it is local. I just saw it today (am getting it next week) and it is perfect, not as large as I thought it was, which is a good thing, just perfect!
