Babble Article *warning trigger violence*

On Babble there is an article

here

While calling circumcising his own sons with a utility knife both abuse and neglect they then finish with this annoying statement;

Quote:
The important thing is that medically the children are fine and that they won’t experience a reduction in sexual pleasure when they’re older.
They link to this blog post about a study where Ugandan men report no loss in sexual sensation post-adult circumcision. But, uh, not only has desensitization not happened yet but what man is going to admit to anyone he was dumb enough to cut off his foreskin and now realizes that it's less good. I know of no man who would ever admit to sex including him could be "less" than anything - for himself or his partner.

Care to comment on the first story? There is a link at the bottom!

I dont care if your for or against circumcision, thats child abuse. Its very dangerous to perform surgery of any kind outside of a hospital setting. Not to mention he had no idea what he was doing and I doubt he sticked them up (and if he some how did, not properly) so I bet the left over skin just fused with the head, making restoration and movement of any kind nearly impossible.

I hope he gets his kids taken away from him.

"And virtually 100% reported no problems following the procedure.
Thank God. Or else I would have had a lot of explaining to do to my nice Jewish sons."

Potential-bias alert.

Did you see there post on the HIV study thing, where they state: "The results of a new study conclude that male circumcision provides significant, immediate protection against HIV." and ask readers, "Would this new information encourage you to circumcise your son, as a means of future HIV protection, whereas before, you wouldn't have?"

How about this comment?

My husband, on returning from a photo trip in Malawi and the DRC told a great story from the trip. Upon arriving at a school, he noticed a line of about fifty 7-9 year-old boys, all excited, so he asked what the boys were lined up for.

"Oh, they're going on a field trip."

"Really? Where are they going?" he asked.

"To the health clinic."

"Really. What are they going to do at the health clinic?"

"They're getting circumcized."

His expression made them all laugh.

"But they're SMILING," he said. "Wait, they don't KNOW they're getting circumsized, do they?"

"Oh no. We tell them when they get there."

Those boys will never go on a field trip again.

while increasing his need for a tetanus shot by 100%
Did he use a manure covered nail during the procedure? Frankly, tetanus would be the least of my concerns in this whole situation.

I'm constantly amazed and appalled at what parents do to their own children.
