..but hi! I'm due the 29th!

Having a Homebirth with a fantastic pair of CPMs. I really get the feeling that this baby a girl. I haven't had much testing or any ultrasounds. I'm really trying to avoid as much unnecessary intervention as possible. I had a typical Hospital birth with my son and it left me very dissatisfied. I just know that this time around will be completely different.

Anywho, I'm ordering my birth kit and my fishy pool this week and I'm gathering all of my supplies.

Anyone else due on the 29th as well?

Welcome I'm due the 20th, but I'm really, really hoping for the 29th, because that's the most awesome birthday in the world.

Thanks for the welcome! I'll check that thread for sure.

I know what you mean about just waiting. My DS was born 10 days before his EDD and it was like that. I think this time I'll go over my EDD, honestly. Last time I had some induction happy doctors on my case. This time that's not the case.

Welcome Danielle, I'm due the 25th. But I agree with Ms. Writerbird, the 29th would be a fun b-day!

I technically belong to the March DDC but lurk here more often. I am due on 3/2 but feel a very strong connection to the end of February. Could be wishful hoping for a leap year baby!

Thanks ladies! I'm so nervous and excited. I have a 2yo (12/05) so I'm just waiting to see how he will handle the change. I think he'll do just fine, but he has never had to share mama, so we'll see.

our babes are super close in age. my dd, ezra was born nov 2005 and my due week is feb 29th -march 5th. i don't know the exact day so just picked feb 29th b/c ez was born 3 weeks early. so, i have a strong feeling this babe will be born in feb.

planning a homebirth, as well! how is your son handling the upcoming transition? will you plan to have him at the birth?

My son is doing well with it. I tell him that a baby is coming, I show him pictures, he gets to listen to the baby when we go to my MW, but since he's not incredibly verbal yet I'm just not sure. He's not nursing overnight any more, mainly just before nap and bed.. I'd like to have him there, but my Mom will be in charge of taking care of him if it gets too intense. She lives a few blocks from here so they can go on a walk or she can take him to rest or play elsewhere. How about your little one?

Hi Danielle,

Welcome! I'm due the 29th too! & also planning a home waterbirth with a midwife, & like you, skipped the ultrasounds, & like you, feel "girl!" It's our first baby.

Did you already order your pool? I'd suggest you get it & test-run it ASAP - when we blew ours up for the test run there was an air leak in it! What are the odds, right? We're like the 1 couple in 1000 that have that happen - but we're very glad we caught it & were able to get a new one (which will arrive next week, so hopefully Baby's not impatient to come out)!

Oh NO! We're still waiting for ours! I hope we don't have a similar problem!

The odds are excellent that you WON'T - the place we ordered ours said this was the first time she'd had it happen since going into business. It really is very unusual. Didn't mean to scare you...just meant, blow it up as SOON as you get it! (We waited 2 weeks, we were just letting it off-gas outside of the box, not blown up)
