Please help me decide what to pay! - Page 2

If it were me, I'd make my big, intimidating debts go away (3000+ one and the 700+ one).

Then I'd start working on the smaller ones with other money.

It will if you're behind enough on payments. If you're still current with monthly payments, then no, they are unlikely to make a deal.

Even moreso with credit cards, I cannot stress enough to GET IT IN WRITING *BEFORE* you pay them anything. No deal in writing first, no payment. They almost always want your money bad enough to meet the demand of putting their words in writing, but they don't want you to know that.

That's a good idea! I am calling today to see about settling for less.

Then pay the items in bold completely. Put the remainder on that big medical bill. Insist that each of the accounts that currently have negative info on your credit report remove that info as a condition of payment. Most will.

Keep fighting Dish Network.
This is what I would do, and also try to see if you can pay less for the medical bills as previously suggested. If you can pay less for the medical bills then put that extra money in savings with the $1K.
