Hmmm, one more try....
Hi everyone--
Some of you will recall that I was ordered by the State of IL to Cease and Desist the practices of medicine and nursing w/out a license last November (and fined $10,000). I filed a response to defend against that in Dec, and have finally received a first hearing date.
That will be merely a status hearing in which a calendar of events is set--the Big Hearing (oral arguments) will not happen until May or June or beyond. Anyway, first hearing is March 18th--feel free to pm me for details if anyone wants to be there.
Also, it is time to get going on the written arguments in support of the basic points I made in my original filing. I sure could use some help with legal and other research. A good portion of what I have to prove will be through case-law (as you legal minds will know), and that is something I've never done before. And some of it will have to be through other means--articles, med. policy--because it has to do with changes in med. practice over the last generation when it comes to the public's free and unsupervised access to various diagnostic tools/tests.
In any event, I am trying to prove that my practice is NOT the practice of medicine or nursing, in facts of what I do/tools used, as well as in the very different relationship (non-managerial/egalitarian) that I construct in cooperation with my clients, compared to the management model of medico-patient relations.
So...if this sounds interesting to anyone, and especially if you are good at research (legal or otherwise)--or you know people who are--please pm me.
And finally, many many thanks to those of you who have sent emotional and financial support. It means a lot!
