a tbsp. honey /brown sugar
blend well in a blender( I have a vita mix) for 2 to 4 min on high

I got this from the vitamix recipe book for rice milk! Same recipe for brown rice milk!

I simply save the leftovers for a quick lunch, snack or breakfast the next day for the kids.

That sounds good! I use leftover oatmeal in muffins or bread.

Well my bread recipe is:

4cups ww flour
4cups warm water
3 tbsp yeast

This will be simmilar to cake batter. Let rise until large bubbles form on surface and dough is doubbled in size. About 2 hours.

Then add:
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup oil (olive or vegitable)
1/2 cup honey or mollasis (each adds a diferant flavor to the bread, experiment and see whic you like better or you can mix them half and half)
up to 1 cup cooked grains.

I sometimes also add a cup of one of the following or a mix: sunflower seeds, flax seed, steel cut oats, multi grain mix.

I then kneed in 4-6 cups ww flour (how much flour depends on the ambiant humidity and what else you have added to the mix) kneed for about 15 min. Rise until doubbled, about 2 hours. Shape into loaves, rise another 2 hours. Bake at 375 for 30min. Makes 3 loaves.

For muffins, I will just add between 1/2cup and one cup of cooked grains to any regular muffin recipe.

We usually eat leftover oatmeal the next day. My kids like it just as well the second time around. Dump in a pan, add some milk and vanilla, and heat gently. Viola!

However, I also make cookies with leftover oatmeal. Combine equal parts oatmeal and nutbutter (of your choice), vanilla, cinnamon, any other spices you like for cookies. Maybe some raisins or shredded coconut. Form into balls and bake until brown.
