Social teaching videos?

Does anyone know of any videos that teach (show) how to act in social situations. I really am looking for videos that just show kids interacting and playing. My son is such a visual learner and learns easily from video. He is having trouble learning how to play, he thinks it is fun to push.....he isn't trying to be mean, he thinks he is interacting. Anyway, we are teaching him but thought if he saw it in fun video form he might catch on quicker.

Thanks!

This is not a video, but a very good book.

Actually, even though it says "autism" in the title, I think it's helpful for any kid who has a litle difficulty with social norms.

I've seen that book at a doctor's office and it's great! It has photographs of socially correct behavior and socially incorrect behavior in specific situations. The photographs are probably even more helpful than a story to a child on the spectrum.

We just got that book. DS actually likes it and has tried to apply the lessons--to me! LOL.

It may be a bit advanced depending on what you want to teach. For example, it does teach greetings, but only offers looking at people as a hint, not the main point of any of the stories.

I just went and flipped through it and did not see anything specifically on not pushing. There are stories on taking turns, compromising, keeping calm and so on.

Also, the book itself is not super well put together. We've only had ours for a couple of weeks and the pages are already falling apart. I think it is meant for the adult to photocopy or use just as a starting point so it's not really meant for kids to handle. (And DS has not been rough with it, the pages just aren't bound very well.)

We do like it--not trying to discourage anyone from getting it. Please let me know if you have any specific questions about it.

And I'd love to hear if anyone has video suggestions! I've seen Bounce suggested here, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere to buy and it comes on while DS is at school in a Musical Mornings 3 hour block so it is inconvient to DVR it. . . . .

Can you get someone from the states to buy the videos online and mail them too you?

They aren't showing them much on comcast so I really need to buy them when I get some cashola.

DS LOVES them and asks to watch them!
