Need Quickbooks/accounting help.

Does anyone have any bookkeeping experience?

We are trying to figure out what to do with this particular transaction.

So my dh's company purchased something for his friend's company on the company credit cardd.

My dh's friend paid him a cheque for the purchase.

How do we enter the transactions?

I haven't done accounting in years and can't make my brain figure it out.

Debit cash, credit Accounts Payable

When you pay credit card:

Debit Accounts Payable, credit cash
