DH and I went for our ultrasound on Thursday. I was completely fine until the ultrasound technician pulled up the most amazing side profile of our baby on the screen. Then, I started crying.....almost sobbing. I had to cover my face, I was so overwhelmed with emotions (and hormones?), and missed some of the best images of the ultrasound until I could uncover my face!
After losing our baby last year at 12 weeks, I have had a difficult time believing everything would be ok with this pregnancy. So, actually seeing this baby on the screen was absolutely wonderful!
I am 40, so they did an ultra-long ultrasound (since I am in the "maternally ancient" group), and she said everything looks great!
They did not change my due date, so I get to stay in the July 2008 DDC!

After infertility and a few losses those pictures are pretty emotionally loaded! I'm so glad that everything looks great! Congrats, mama!
