Do you do this?

Whenever I feel a painful contraction, I think to myself "this is it!" Then I go into panic mode trying to tie up loose ends around the house, cleaning, putting away things...I'm so afraid my friends and family won't find things around here or know what to do if everything isn't perfect, lol!

So I've had some doozies and I'm now doing laundry and scrubbing floors. After that I'll make 3 pans of lasagna and clean the play room just in case. I don't want it to be too hard to maintain things around here while I recover.

Common sense tells me to lay down and drink some tea or take a nap, but I can't.

no I wait for the next two...if they are irregular then I drink lots of water and sit down.

I do this. I freak out. I freak DH out. He starts cleaning. Any dishes int he sink.. cleaned. Now that this has happened to me oh.. every day for the past two weeks, I am beginning to slow down the clean rush.

yeah, my house is pretty clean after all these contractions. It's amazing how motivated I am now at this stage when it's so much more difficult to stay on top of things.

I've been the same way. I was really uncomfortable on Friday night into Saturday morning, so I woke up early and went grocery shopping and came home and starting cleaning and organizing (and ordering my husband to do so, too ) like crazy.

Yep. I'm doing the same thing with college work, housework, you name it, I'm getting it done out of panic. =p

I had some contractions last night and my immediate reaction was just to lay down and see what happened ... once they got regular, I got up and sat on my birth ball - and then my 2 year old got up and my contractions stopped!

I do spend the first 20 minutes after all my kids are in bed running around the house like a madwoman making sure there are no embarassing messes anywhere ... with four kids in this household, I'm not expecting my house to be perfect!
