Anyone feel movement yet?

Have you felt your baby move yet? I know someone who is 12wks and says her baby has been doing lots of kicking. I know you feel subsequent pregnancies earlier...but I'm not sure how early you can feel movement.

There was a thread about this last week, I think. Some gals are feeling movement in the 8th week! I think I'm just feeling gas, LoL!

Hmm...I may have actually seen that thread. Now I can't remember! lol I'm feeling gas I'm pretty sure - but will be thrilled when I can feel the baby!

I've felt things that definitely feel like a baby moving, but I'm sure that's not it yet. I "felt" my babies moving after they were born still - you know that gas feeling and you lose your breath because it feels *exactly* like a baby squirming in there? I find it really hard to believe movement could be felt this early, much less kicking! I mean, they barely have legs!

I can't speak for anyone else, of course, but this is my third baby and I'm not expecting to feel movement for a few weeks yet.

I've felt movement several times. Not kicks but wriggles. I'm sure its not gas.

Im in the Aug and Sep ddc (my babies tend to be really late)
I am almost 13 weeks and by baby bounces around a LOT! Ive been feeling movement since about 10 weeks.... Its my 3rd pregnancy and my uterus is very soft and easy to feel things this time... its def easier to feel earlier with later pregnancies.

Id be skeptical about anyone saying that they feel movement before 8 LMP weeks unless their dates are off. The baby does NOT move AT ALL until about 8-9 lmp weeks, at which point it begins spontaneous movement. By 10 weeks the moving is regular and by 12 lmp weeks the baby has the stepping reflex and will kick its legs whenever its feet touch the uterus! ( check out National Geographic - In the Womb for really great development info!!!)

Heres a almost 9 weeker, barely moving near the middle of the video you can see a slight wiggle or two, near the end you can see it twitch its leg, you can see the heart beating tho
Heres a 9 week baby starting to wiggle
A 12 weeker kicking

Heres a 4d one from 8 weeks on, its kinda cheesy, but the pics are cool!

Those were really cool u/s videos andrea! Thanks for sharing. Makes more sense to me now that I first felt movement at almost 9 weeks but didn't feel anything more until 5 days later. And then it wasn't everyday. Now at 12 weeks I feel movement almost everyday and mostly several times a day and it's stronger than when I first felt it. That 12 week baby is very active in that u/s.

This baby must be in just the right place that I feel it so often. I didn't feel anything w/ DD until I was almost 17 weeks. So this is really cool!

the only movement I have felt is my stomach turning over

With DD1 I think I was 17 weeks before I started feeling movement, and I think that's b/c I didn't know what to look for. I was assuming it was just gas. With DD2, I started feeling movement around 11 weeks. I'm only 8 weeks now, so I don't expect to feel this one for a couple more weeks.

It's funny I am about 9 weeks and 5 days and I feel like I may have been feeling something the last couple of days. I have mostly dismissed it but maybe it really is baby. Would be cool if I could start feeling it more regularly soon. I felt my first at like 16 weeks and then my second at like 14 would love to feel this one consistently at 12.

seriously....gas.

I felt #1 at 16 weeks (which I thought was early, it felt like flutters something I had never felt before).

With #2 , I felt her at around the same time.

#3 I didn't feel until around 21 weeks, he had had an anterior placenta which then became marginal but moved posterior at about 26 weeks.

#4 I felt at around 15-16 weeks.

This is #5 and I don't expect to feel "baby" movement until at least 15-16 weeks or more.

I know how easy it is to confuse gas with baby kicks, after giving birth to each of my babies like newborn to the 6th month or so, I have had gas that I could swear felt just like my baby kicking. It's weird to have that same feeling and look down and you are holding your baby in your arms and no longer in utero.

I usually feel my babies moving lightly around in there at about 11- 12 weeks but they are definitely not kicking yet. When I miscarried at 15 weeks I got to take my baby home and bury it. The legs at 15 weeks are so small you would not be able to feel kicking that early. Movement though is of course possible and especially if you are a very tiny mama to begin with . Then any movement in there is usually felt.

Wow, those ultrasound videos were really helpful! Kind of gives me an idea what to look for, or feel for.

I hope i can feel movement at 12 weeks! that would rock my world, it's one of my absolute favorite things about pregnancy (and I love pregnancy!) I didn't know what the movement was with my first baby until like 19-20 weeks, because it was my first, and then with my daughter I had an anterior placenta so I didn't feel her til maybe 17 weeks. Come 12 weeks though, I'm going to be paying very close attention because that little guy on the U/S was soooooo cute!

I swear I have been feeling movement, but at the same time I know it's not possible so it must just be the phantom baby. I'm 9 weeks on thurs, pretty small and this is our third so I guess hopefully I can feel something real soon!

Thanks for posting those links. I might send them to my hubby too! I sent the 4D one to my grad student whose wife is expecting at the end of August!

i've been wondering the same thing. I'm 8 weeks and for maybe a week or two every so often if I'm laying down on my belly, I'll feel a twinge of something. I don't know what it is??? I don't think it's the baby because it's so early but could it be the uterus growing? Or an organ twitching or something? kind of like when you feel a nerve twitch? It's very weird, and always makes me wonder...when will I first feel the baby move? I'm still waiting for my first prenatal appointment.

I feel twitches and then put my hand to my belly and feel nothing. I guess it's just gas.

Ok, this is wierd. Could I have felt gas "kicks" simultaneously on both sides of my abdomen? I swear I felt movement this morning down low left AND down low right. Definitely felt it in two seperate regions of my lower abdomen. I know it's still early to feel ANY movement, but I've been feeling "buzzing" now for a few days and sometimes it's in two seperate areas. And then the "knocks" I felt this morning . . .

Eeeeeee!
(1) Was it movement? Hmmmm . . .
(2) Is it twins????????
