So, I feel totally stupid, but I without thinking used grapefruit seed extract on my toothbrush last night and woke up with yellow teeth!
It looks seriously worn away on the sides of my front teeth and all of my side teeth. I feel so stupid because I'm a very research oriented person, but I read something about using it on your toothbrush and skipped the section that said RINSE IT OFF BEFORE USING... So to make sure it was safe, I made a concentrated dilution and put a drop on my pH strips and compared it to tap water and for whatever reason, it appeared relatively neutral so I tried it. I only used it a couple times, figuring it would help kill off any bacteria causing decay... Well, not sure if it did that, but it ate my enamel.
So I've been chewing gum with recaldent all day and I was going to get some toothpaste with amorphous calcium phosphate and novamin. Will it ever remineralize and look less yellow?
