section of eye a different color

hey something weird!

my 45 day old dd has a pizza slice section of her eye that is a completely different color then the rest of her iris. Her iris is dark blue and that pizza slice section is brown. This is only one eye...the other eye is dark blue only.

i am a little worried and planning on taking her to the pediatrician but just wondering if anyone knows anything about this - personal experience is better than telling me what the internet says.

Do you think it is something to worry about? Could it just be a unique pigmentation thing?

Its nothing to worry about! Dd has this too. In fact so does dh but his coloration didn't develop until he was in his twenties. We did ask the eye doc if it meant anything and he said it was just a variation on color but didn't pertain to any vision problems.
