But, yes, apparently, that's what it means. ARGH!!! Do you think DH will mind if I throw all of his stuff away, too?

That's what it meant for us...
For DH, I would give him choices "do you want to keep this or this?"
or "out of this pile, please get rid of 6 items" etc. We got rid of a LOT. We had to, our place is TINY (tiny for three people, never mind four!). We donated a lot, listed some stuff on freecycle, and sold some stuff on craigslist

But be careful, I threw away some stuff I could really use right about
now like the Boppy and some nursing shirts...I don't know what I was thinking!

That's what nesting is for me, too! Unfortunately I haven't gotten the donations to the thrift stores yet and have huge piles of donations in my basement and garage!!! I need to get dh on that...

TOTALLY -- nesting is PURGING for us, too!

I threw away 5 bags of old and broken toys, it actually made my stomach turn to think of all that plastic sitting in a landfill somewhere, but it also felt good to clear out all that space! Nesting feels good!

Well if that's nesting I must be constantly pregnant, LOL. I am constantly rehoming all the junk my packrat DH wants to hang onto. If it were up to him we'd be living in a health-dept. condemned home with junk from floor to ceiling.
