So after my fast & furious car-birth, I required one stitch on my *clitoris* of all places... has anyone had this before? Was it because of the position (hands & knees) and where the pressure was?
What is healing in that area like as far as future sex, sensitivity, etc.?
So far, this recovery has been amazing~ no pain (except for my nipples!) and no swelling down below Is that also because pushing was so quick?

Thanks for reading! Any thoughts?

I don't know about your TMI question, but I have to ask, was it the clitoris, or the clitoral hood? I think it would be easier healing with a stitch in the hood... You poor momma!

I think it's the hood. I haven't really looked "down there" to tell you the truth. I have an appt. with my midwife tomorrow so I'll ask her to take a look
It doesn't really hurt, I'm just afraid of scar tissue and losing sensation.

i tore in my clitoris with my oldest dd.. i was on my back though.. but she was an extremely fast birth
it healed just fine.. no lose of sensitivity.. didnt take long to heal either

No advice on the tear, but Ocean is SO cute! And her daddy and sister look SO proud of her! How gorgeous everyone is!

The clitoral tear could definitely be because of the hands and knees position. I don't think one stitch is such a bad thing, though. Is it bothering you a lot? It isn't so uncommon, I've never seen anyone have loss of sensation from it.

Your baby is beautiful. And what a gorgeous older sister she has! Congratulations!
