Would you buy this?

Ok, so I've been thinking about this for a long while and am putting it out there to see if it would be worth it.

You know the Psalm and Zoya DVD's? Well, we taped the whole labor and birth of the triplets. I have been wanting to edit it, add music, etc.. and put it on DVD's. Dh wants to sell them like the parents of Psalm and Zoya have done. Would it even be worth it?
IIRC, they sell theirs for $40 plus shipping for a 20 minute dvd. I don't know how short I'd edit mine to be, I haven't viewed my tapes to see what is worth putting on there. It was obviously not a UC, so I don't know how much interest there would actually be for it.
Depending on how much cost we would have to put into it, I'd probably sell it for around $30. Is that too much?

Really though, would it even be worth my time and energy to do this? Do you all think it would possibly sell?

No. But I think birthing videos (and birthing stories for that matter) are boring.

No, I personally wouldn't because I have an entertainment budget of $0. But, if I was going to buy one birthing video, I think the homebirth of triplets would be the one I bought! And I would definitely want it in my library if I was a doula, midwife, or CBE.

$30 sounds like a fair price for a birth video to me.

If I saw it and it had something in it that I wanted to share with clients, I would. Like, if it had lots of birthin' sounds and I wanted to offer it to clients with kids attending the birth, or it had an "emergency" handled by a midwife at home and wanted to loan it to a scaredy cat partner. I am not expecting any twin or HOM mamas, so I couldn't use it for that. I don't think my own "curiousity" would be enough to make me buy it but my own curiousity+desire to financially support mamas who get the word out+another use would probably get me to buy it. Make sense, I hope?

You might want to try posting in Birth Professionals, since that might be more your target market. Obviously those who find birth videos boring or have no budget to buy the video are not your target market.

No, but I might if I were pregnant with multiples. And I bet homebirth midwives would be very interested in having it as part of their collection.

I might buy it if I was having multiples. Why not give it a try, if nothing else you will have a nice video for your babies when they get older. You could even show it at a wedding.

It sounds like a great idea but I don't know if anyone would buy it. There are so many free birth videos online these days that you might have a hard time getting anyone to pay for it. But it is different than all the others because it is a triplet homebirth so maybe midwives and childbirth educators would buy it.

I think it's a good idea. Your video would be unique and educational. I would definitely buy it if I was a midwife/birth educator/doula. I think $30 is a fair price.

If I was teaching childbirth classes (like I hope to one day) I would buy them.

If you need a video editor, I must say my DH rocks! (It is what he does)

Or if you even just wanted to talk with someone about how much it would cost to produce etc....He is a great resource.

I'd buy it! I'd watch it, then give it to the homebirth midwife we used, or give it to the local birth circle for their use.

I just watched your You Tube video, amazing, absolutely wonderful. i'd buy it without hesitation! Then again, I am a homebirth midwife. What a beautiful example of how lovely multiple births are at home!

I'd buy it. most birth videos are about $100. for 15minutes.
