Blighted twin

I started bleeding/spotting today around noon
I called my OB, but the u/s tech wasn't in today

They sent me to the ER to get an u/s
The tech there found 2 sacs, one empty, and one healthy bean, hb 163 bpm
She thinks the empty sac was a blighted twin, but wants me to follow up with my Doc for another u/s to monitor placenta attachment

This is nerve-wracking, but it was reassuring to see my little one.

Oh, wow, what a big chunk to hear all at one time! I am glad you still have one little bean in there, hopefully everything will be just fine with him/her. I'm sorry for the loss of your other one.

That is so hard, mamma! Thank goodness for the continued health of your bean. I am sorry you have to endure the emotions of hearing about the missing twin.

Umm, this happened to me with my second baby. For a while early on there were two different heartbeats, and then one day, only one heartbeat. And that was it. Just gone. I had opted for no ultrasound (I was even more crunchy anti-technology than I am now) but had I had one, goodness knows what I would have seen. It was a bit sad.

Sorry you had to go through that. We will rejoice with you when your singleton is born though!!
