Just need to vent! Sleeplessness, back pain....

I just need to vent this out! My back is in soo much pain right now, I have not been able to sleep all night. I finally decided to get up take a hot bath and have a snack, which is helping me feel better (its 3:30am here) but I just want to be asleep!

My neighbor (and friend!) had the day off work yesterday and wanted me to go shopping with her, so I did. I love my friend but she can kind of be space cadet in the car and she parked like 5 blocks away from the mall (I suggested that maybe she park at the mall parking where she could get her parking validated but I think she was kind of flustered and just felt like she just wanted to get the car parked). Normally a 5 block walk is no biggie, I could care less but ever since my belly really popped out, at a certain point walking around with this belly just starts to kill my back. And not just achy, increadibly painful.

So we walk the 5 blocks to the mall and then of course all around the mall (its an outdoor mall downtown so thats nice). I was enjoying the time with my friend, found a b-day gift for my MIL but I felt like it was very overshadowed by my back just being in agony. I also felt like my friend wasn't reading some of my "hints" that I wanted to take a rest. We just kept going and going, walking for 2 hours, I sat down for about 1 minute a couple of times. I know I should have been more direct and just said "My back is in agonizing pain and I NEED to sit down for at least 10 minutes" but I felt embarrased. I felt like "I should be able to do this, I'm in such bad shape". Finally we headed back to the car (the 5 block walk). My friend suggested going to the grocery store together to pick up stuff for dinner but at that point I felt like I could barely stand up and I just said "I need to go home now, I'm sorry".

So anyway, once I got home I laid down and my back was just in awful pain, there was no position I could sit or lay to be comfortable. I took a bath and that helped a bit. I also went to bed early but just had horrible sleep. Most of the time I have been up due to my back pain and DH snoring.

We just got a brand new King sized bed this weekend which is overall awesome, but like any new bed it has to be "broken in" and I am still getting used to sleeping on it, so that didn't really help things.

Okay, I feel better getting this out of my system. I'm sure this post is so long nobody is actually going to read it but it feels good to get it out.

I read it!
And I sympathize with you, mama.

I went out with my MIL a couple weeks back, 'for an hour or two." My car had been out of commission for 2 weeks, so with 2 little ones and my pregnant self stuck at home I was getting stir crazy. So I jumped at the chance to go to the mall- I figured exercise, and I might find something cute for all my friends/ relatives who are also pg right now.

OMG! We got there at 11am when the mall opened, and didn't leave til 4pm!!!
I wanted to die.

Plus, my mil is the kind of person that even if she's in a store and nothing looks good, and no good sales, she still has to inspect each and every rack. I kinda scan, no good deals, nothing super cute- I'm ready for the next store!!

I was so damned tired. Hubby took me out that night for my bd, and I was too tired to even want to watch a movie after dinner. So we just went home and I went to sleep. lol

Sorry for my too long for anyone to bother reading reply! :
I just kwym about being too damn tired but not wanting to make a fuss out of being winded at an all day shopping excursion.

I sympathize for you all with the back pain. I'm not sure what you can do in terms of relief other than a heating pad? Or maybe a prenatal massage will help.

Is your MIL related to my friend? She wanted to look in the shoe section and I swear was inspecting each and every shoe. I was just thinking "I just want to sit down" the whole time!

AKA-PI

I am planning on getting a heating pad today, I think it would help a lot.
