Stone Soup does it again...Tackles baby's right to breastfeed!!!

Hey All,

I know that I don't come on here much at all, but this is an issue near and dear to my heart. Stone Soup has tackled the right to nurse in public. It started this Monday! I'm giving you the latest strip, but you can scroll back to Monday's comic and Joan's whole ordeal is right there in print. She talks about it with her sister when she goes home...I love it!!!! Way to go Stone Soup!!! (Link is in the first mention of Stone Soup..)

She hit every point. That's awesome. I really appreciate her approach -- a lot of people will tune out the harangues and lectures and speeches, no matter how well said, but will respond to humor. She's got a deft touch.

Exactly! I was so excited when I saw this because it really hits the nail on the head about this issue. Though I have yet to experience the joys of nursing (DH and I are taking a "break" from ttc), I do work as an IBCLC intern with a private practice LC and I'm so very dedicated to breastfeeding and helping moms and babies come together. Having nursed (on my mom) myself, I wish for all babies to be able to have this most special bond and relationship with their mothers. Really, I can tell the difference...Good show Stone Soup!!!

Those are great! I love it how it's referred to as nursing, too. The language is never lost on me, the difference between people, how they feel about it, and whether they refer to it as nursing or just breast feeding.

I did like how she handled it, by making it the foolish waiter's problem.

Oh, those are so funny- and true to life. I have to bookmark them!

We were eating out the other night and some guy's buttcrack was hanging out of his jeans right in my line of vision. I said to dp "You think I can tell the server that that offends me and they'd make him pull up his pants?"
