Question for bloggers...

Thread Starter
I've received several e-mails from various companies/individuals asking if I would be willing to post an article they wrote on my blog. I've been deleting the e-mails for several reasons, but mainly the articles are about information I am not interested in. If it's not something I would buy or do, I don't see a point in posting about it on my personal blog.

Does anyone actually do this - post other's articles on your own blog? Do you charge the author a fee for posting their article? How does posting another's article benefit the blogger?

If I am interested in posting it then I ask that they reciprocate. Having links to your blog from other sites (including blogs) increases the page rank and boosts you up in the search engines. If I'm not interested in the topic then I don't bother.
