Detoxifying foot soak recipie?

My friend went to a spa place and said she took a treatment that was a body detox by soaking her feet in a tub of water with stuff in it - she doesn't know what - but that it cleared up mucus and all kinds of stuff. The water changes color based on what is detoxing out of your body (i.e. heavy metals, phlegm, bile, etc.) Anyone ever heard of this?
What I'm wondering is if anyone has a recipie for this. She said it worked great and highly recommended it but I can't afford a spa and need to detox at home. Any suggestions? Receipes?

In a catalog I had, they were selling foot pads that were the same idea, where they drew toxins out of your body. I can't for the life of me remember what catalog it was, or the name of the product. If I find it, I will post again.

I have no idea if this is what they were using (never heard of the changing color part...), but Epsom salt soaks are good for detoxing. You can soak your feet or take a whole bath. It also allows Magnesium to be absorbed into your body through the skin which helps your body relax (among other things). Great to do a soak before bed!

the foot pads are kinoki foot pads. they work. https://www.buykinoki.com/?cid=378267&page=index it's the same idea as the foot baths although the foot baths would work faster I would think. It is a special bath/machine you buy, it is expensive. Some salons or massage therapist may have one available. FWIW lemon is a great detoxer too.

Sounds like the Ion Cleanse.

I really want to try this and this thread reminded me to schedule one. I'll give you my personal feedback after I have it done. I believe in this, but my husband is skeptical, so maybe I can have him try it also to see what his reaction is as well. If anyone has had one, please post your feedback. Thanks.

The discussingNT list on yahoo is currently discussing these foot bath machines. Some folks ahve had really good results with them.

Personally, I have a friend who went to a practitioner who does them, and they had fantastic results.

my dh had an ion foot bath done and it did work - it changed all kinds of icky colors!

however the rig the guy had for the one my dh had done wasn't anything fancy - I want to see if I can find more info on it online - he had it hooked up to a battery and had two metal plates attached to two metal rods which attached to battery cables - kinda like jumper cables LOL

then dh went to another lady who had a much fancier machine than the guy had but what the guy had did work.
