Wanna see what I'm making Dh?

He's been asking for something knitted for the last couple weeks. Hinting at it like I should knit him something for V-Day. He's on my banned knit list though (he lost his socks after less than a month..... so no way. BUT I don't have anything for him for tomorrow and I wanted to do something yk?

The first of many...I'm just going to fill a small thing of tupperware with them and pack it with his lunch. It's from Mochi Mochi. I am using up leftover Manos and using size 8's and NOT felting it. Super simple and extremely fast!

Cheesy? Perhaps but he said he wanted something knitted.

That is so sweet!
Good idea to put them in his lunch, it's so cheesy but in a smile-for-the-rest-of-the-day kinda way

If it were me, and I were this creative, I'd turn them into Christmas tree ornaments afterwards. Nothing like mixing up the holidays....I think they'd look cute and my fave ornaments personally are the "family backstory" kind of meaningful ones.

DD2 is rather fond of chewing on them at the moment.

I'm ok with not felting them flapjack. 1. I don't like the look of felted items and 2. I'd have to handfelt (no washer and dryer right now) and I'm not that ambitious.

He may not get them now. He's a brat. Yes he lost his socks. Then denied it for more than a month (hoping I'd find them in the midst of our chaos...this was all during travel and moving) and then just recently tried to use "maybe so and so liked them so much he snatched them". Highly unlikely. Stupid sock losing head head.

I just made a ton of these for valentines and was coming to post my FO pics. Dh's family always exchanges homemade valentines, and I thought these would be perfect, I didn't think I would have time to make so many, but thanks to getting stuck on a bus in a blizzard for 5+ hours the other night, I had just enough time. I used a modification of the mochi mochi pattern that is seamless, and I didn't felt mine either, because their cotton.

Here they are!

Here they are tied to candy filled bags.

And here is the caption on the bag (they came from a japanese dollar store; the english on the items in there is always hilarious.) We thought it would be funnier to put candy skeletons in the bags, but those are hard to find in february.

Where ever those socks are, I hope they are being appreciated.

I am gearing up to knit socks for dh (and his enourmous feet - my size 1 needles seem so tiny...). He may not lose them

Please share how you tweaked it so you didn't have to seam them! I so wanted to try it but didn't have the patience to figure it out.

I'm glad others can see the horridness of it. I've been composing a post about it since December.

I didn't modify it to make it seamless, someone else did : http://knittersdelight.vox.com/libra...t-pattern.html

I found it through ravelry.

oh yeah, and I used the mod given at the end of the pattern to make the lobes less pointy.
