There's a penis!

I guess? My babe would not hold still today!! I could not believe the movement...funny, b/c I was just telling DH last nite that this babe moves very infrequently. I think he was just not a fan of being bothered.

Anyway, the US tech with so NOT personable. You can just tell when they don't say anything to your DC, YKWIM? (The one that's there, not in your belly ) She's like, sorry, I'm a screen hog. She had it turned away the whole time!!!!!! DH and DD got to see it....she turned it for me at the end and gave me a 3 minute "tour". She called it a tour. I think she was trying to find a good shot to show us that this ones a boy, but never got it. She's like, oh right there.....fleeting second. We've already made the announcements to everyone, and there will be no f/u US, so it's a boy unless proven otherwise in July!!

And it showed a due date of July 6th, instead of the 12th which I had originally thought. I know it's silly to change it, but at my MW appt, she thought I was at least 20-21 weeks by exam. She said she never gets the HB with the fetoscope before 20 weeks....when has your MW heard it with your babe?

No, I mean heard the HB with the fetoscope. I heard the HB @ like 11 wks with the doppler. She's saying that she's never heard the HB before 20 weeks with the fetoscope, and at that point I was saying I was 17.5. US dating would have put me at 18.5 on that day.

Ugh, this is confusing. I guess I'll just have to wait and see

Oh yeah I was going to say something because I saw fetoscope after I posted... Im 20 weeks now as of Thursday and still cant hear babies with fetoscope.. I think the placenta is in the way..

My boys.. Never listened with my second one and with my first it was around 24 weeks..

I heard this baby's heartbeat at 17weeks 1day with my fetascope. I was quite shocked, but baby just had a really great position for it, so I guess that's why.

I really hate that! It's so disappointing. The OB's u/s tech we saw early on was not so friendly either. I realize that they have a job to do and that does not include entertaining me. At the same time, care providers do run a business too and I think a little "customer service" wouldn't hurt. I could go elsewhere this time or in the future and I know a lot of women go on other women's referrals. That's what I think at least. Wish they thought that way!

DH scheduled a 2D at one of the 3D u/s places and they have assured him that the reason they're there is simply to indulge us. I'm really looking forward to it this time. They will have a 32" flat screen for DH and the girls to watch the whole thing. They'll probably think "Mom, the cartoons don't come in color here?!"

I agree!! I'm a nurse at the hospital we had this done at!! So I know it's important. Yes, it would be faster if I just went in to a pt and did a procedure, and yes I'd be doing my job but you need to explain things, discuss fears/concerns, etc!!! They'll be getting my survey back, for sure!!
