lanolin that doesn't smell like sheep doodoo?

I'm looking for a pure lanolin that doesn't smell like sheep poop. I got a product from Now Foods that worked great but smelled horrible. We started calling it barnyard balm after a few days. Then I threw it out.

I can't remember what lansinoh smelled like. Does the pharmaceutical grade lanolin smell like anything or is it more odor-less like petroleum jelly?

i've never noticed that lansinoh has any odor. in fact, i put some on my lips just about every night before bed.

Thanks for the input on lansinoh. It's been about 3 years since I've used it, so I couldn't remember. I know I can get that locally.

QueenSheba'sMom, I don't think any essential oil could cover over that lovely barnyard aroma.

Pharm grade doesn't stink. Which is a good thing.
Nothing like something smelling like the backside of a sheep to turn one off. lol


I LOVE your metalworking, btw. DH is a (very) amature blacksmith! I miss him having access to a forge. I'm hoping someday he'll get a chance to build his own on our property. (Sorry for hijacking, just had to say I really, really like your work. Yay Etsy!)

That's good to know about the pharmaceutical grade lansinoh. I've seen that for sale on Amazon, but didn't want to order another sheepy smelling lanolin by mistake.
