Ever had psycho thoughts, like....

Have you ever thought your child might be a demon because you have bad luck? or cursed? or anything else like that???

I have had intrusive thoughts too.

I think that falls under the "go to the doctor IMMEDIETLY" category.

that doesn't sound good. Definitely would talk to a psychiatrist.

another note: you are not psycho, they will not take your child away, and it is ok.

s mama. You need to go to a doctor immediately. I knew someone with those exact thoughts, and they ended up having postpartum psychosis. Please go see someone ASAP, they will help you, and your children will not be taken away.

Many s to you mama, I know this is very hard. You owe it to yourself and your children to get help. I wish you the very best.

i would agree with PPs if you are having thoughts like these get yourself to a doctor who knows PPD and related disorders ASAP. they can help you get what you need.

Please get some help ASAP. This can be such a lonely and frightening experience. I had it with my son and without the support of several dear friends and my dh, I am not sure what would have happened. I waited and thought I could talk myself out of the thoughts, but I should have reached out sooner. Thankfully I never acted on any of my thoughts, but like I said I had people really watching out for me and being helpful once I shared my concerns.

Get to a doctor, RIGHT NOW. Get help. Get your family to help too.

This is a very serious thing. You are not "a psycho" and your child is not a demon.

There is just something wrong right now and you need help and treatment.

PLEASE get to a doctor, RIGHT NOW.

You are not crazy and you are not alone -- this is a classic symptom of Postpartum Depression -- it's called "having scary thoughts" and this is NORMAL for someone with PPD (yes you may possibly have PPP but this is very rare and what you're describing is within the range of PPD). Get help, now -- you (and your baby) need it and deserve it.

s mama. Were you able to get into see someone? I know what you're talking about and I didn't get help - then I had another baby and it was horrendous. I *HAD* to get help then.

I've been there and I know that it is distressing. I drove to Emory in Atlanta Georgia ( they specialize in ppd, ppp ) and they helped me immediately. I am myself again and you will be too.

I agree with PP... You MUST speak to a doctor about your feelings.

You are not the only mommy who has had wild imaginings brought on from loads of stress and exhaustion. In fact I think you'd be hard pressed to find a mommy who doesn't freak out a bit now and then.

But there are situations when you have to bite your lip, do what is best for your beloved child... and ask your doctor for advice.

I never had demon/bad luck thoughts, but I did have scary weird thoughts that would pop into my head. My most disturbing thought happened when I was walking down the stairs holding dd, and I wondered what it would be like if I tripped and she flew out of my arms.

I didn't end up taking medication, so if your scared about that just talk to your doctor about your feelings. I was greatly helped by talking to a therapist and learning cognitive behavior techniques.

Please go to your doctor, and take care of you.

I had these same sorts of thoughts with my first, and even though it's hard, just know it's not you or your baby, it's PPD, hormones, stress and a million other things. Go see a doctor. You're not a psycho, and it takes more than that to get your child taken away.
