my problem with maternity pants

Okay, they finally fit great around the belly/waist, but they are absolutely huge in the butt. Now I don't have a small butt, but there is still way too much extra fabric in the back. I'm in Florida, so hopefully I can just wear cloth drawstring shorts in a while, but right now it's freezing (to me). I had to wear my jogging outfit to church so I could have long pants with drawstrings!

They also seem to be a little slim in the legs...weird..

I can never get them to stay up unless I wear the ones with the gigantic full panel at this point those are still falling right off me, though.

yeah, i hear you! mine are too big on my butt, and i'm constantly pulling them up...BUT, at least they're comfortable. it's totally frustrating. i just keep telling myself to hang in there until skirt/dress weather is here. for some reason i don't have the same problems with skirts, and obviously dresses aren't going to fall down

They always seem slimmer in the thigh, saggier in the butt, have NO pockets and are 15 feet too long! I can't wait for Summer, then I can just wear little dresses, and swimsuits and live in my pool. I'll be rockin' the beached whale look!

I always get this pooch in the back where the maternity panel meets the jeans. Its odd as I too am not that small in the butt. Perhaps our butts are supposed to grow as we get further along.

My pants have "bunchy butt" problems too.

I just bought my first-ever pair of maternity pants and actually found a pair which fit properly - and I am little in all ways. Most of the store was, yah, big in the bum, long and strange, but they had enough styles that one worked. They also had some awesome cargoes I coveted, but they didn't have them in XS. :P

I went to http://www.maternity.ca/ - only in real life, not on the interwebs...

I hear ya, and I don't have a small butt either!

I've also taken to wearing the full panel and safety pinning the top of the panel to the bottom of each bra cup. Only works when I go out though because I hardly ever wear a bra a home. I just have to keep pulling my pants up!:

Yes! I have been living in one pair the last few weeks (yes, I wash them occasionally. ) They're full panel because the other ones don't work and anything under belly is extremely painful because of my c-section scar. These have back pockets (a must for me) but I find that I have to try to pull them up because the but and crotch are saggy but then the jean part comes up too far on my belly and it hurts and/or the baby starts going absolutely crazy and kicking that area like crazy. S/he doesn't like anything tight on belly.

I've been really liking the big stretchy dress pants. I put them on for work and don't take them off until bed. No problems with panels or saggy butt or anything. I bought some that were about 1-2 sizes larger than usual, then I shortened them a few inches. They work great!

Ahaha! That's exactly what I need, MORE butt! And, if I keep chowing down on this Valentine's candy, I'll have it!

I'm right there with ya! That's my plan exactly and I'm so looking forward to it!! I already told DH, come May you can find me in the pool, just have everything sent there.

I've been thrilled that spring seems to be fast on it's way and I got to dig out the dresses and shorts. It's just so much more comfy than my huge winter stuff! We're in a bit of a cool down for a couple days now before warmer temps return and I want the warm weather back! We're planning a zoo day tomorrow, supposed to be pretty nice at 72 or so.

With DD I loved that because my butt got so huge, lol. I had to keep buying bigger sizes! Even then they still fell down all the time though.

I'm so excited for a summer baby too because i'm all about the dresses and stretchy skirts.

I'm still in regular clothes now but my favorite pants alternative is black low rise yoga pants. they look pretty nice and fit throughout the whole pregnancy.

Mine all fall down too! The gigantic panel doesn't even help because I am sort of gaining weight around rather than just in my belly so the panel is saggy. I walk around having to pull up my pants every few steps to prevent a saggy crotch.

YES! I have the baggy butt problem as well. Well, my maternity pants do, anyhow!

I HATE to have things that are baggy or too tight in the crotch. Which seems to be the only options one has in maternity pants.

I have been practically living in a pair of liz lange jeans from target, they are the only pants I've found yet that ALMOST fit decently. I must be carrying really high this time around, because the puffy part is way below my bump.

I wish I were a better seamstress, or knew one- then I would totally have maternity pants custom made. At least then they might somewhat fit properly. lol

My problem is that walmart just put out the minieggs... hehehe I'm doomed! And my OB said I was doing so good with keeping my weight gain down. I"ll bet she doesn't say that next time I go.

My problem with maternity pants is that the legs are too slim, the waistband cuts off my circulation, they are too tight, and if I move a size up they creep down my butt. I have a huge butt for my size, so it is weird.
