BAD food aversions

Honestly, right now I hate food. It grosses me out. I am irritated by the fact that I have to eat. The only things I can eat are bean and cheese burritos, veggie subs from subway (disgusting, right) and cereal. Is there a natural reason for this? I have been drinking protein shakes and taking vitamins, but I am getting worried about baby not getting enough. I am so miserable! I am 19 weeks along with babe #3 and I never had this problem with any of my other pregnancies. Have any of you gone through this?

I was just like that during the 1st tri and it's been getting slowly better since. For the whole of my 3rd month I was eating nothing but chips and yogurt as those were the only things I'd allow near me or could keep down. The 4th month, my appetite was recovering but I still only wanted what I call pre-chewed food - canned spaghetti sauces on pasta, fishsticks, frozen pizzas... I was brought up to cook from scratch and seldom eat processed food so it was bizarre for me, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

I'm 19wks now and getting back to normal slowly. I still can't bear the thought of my healthy homecooked veggie stews or pasta sauces, but am actively craving fresh fruit and vegetables now, which is a huge relief as I love them and couldn't bear them near to me a few weeks ago! I'm still far more pre-chewed than I'd like to see usually, especially as I normally eat organically where possible, but at least I'm back on oatmeal with fresh banana and other good stuff. I'm also nuts (haha) for museli, which can't be doing me much harm as I'm sticking to salt/sugar-free. Cereal in general's pretty good as long as we're not talking cocoa-honey-sugar-cinnamon-cookie-crunch type stuff.

Which sounds fabulous right now, btw.

And now I need to go get a bowl of museli immediately. My appetite has gone from non-existent to nearly out of control in two weeks.

I'm having a hard time with food too. I'm eating ok by this point, not too much or too little, but I've gone from having a really healthy food intake pre-pregnancy to a barely average one now, and I'm still getting nausea and everything edible looks "gross."

My tastes have totally changed. :/ Two of the "staple" meals in our house - pasta with tomato sauce and black bean burritos - are suddenly totally unpalatable to me. Now I want nothing but the creamiest, fattiest, highest-protein foods I can get my hands on. If I could eat butter chicken every night, I would.

I assume my body knows what's going on, even if I don't. :/ I've always been very thin and prone to weight loss, so maybe it just wants more calories. I don't know... but I trust it.

Ditto on everything! I am craving high fat and protein foods like whole milk dairy. I was vegan before, but I'm going with my cravings since they're all that's edible.

I have been trying to listen to what my body wants and also to balance that with the fact that, even if my body THINKS it needs Cheetos, I'm pretty sure that's not really necessary.

It's hard. Nothing sounds good to me except junk and even that, not all the time.
