I started out the day in a funk after another night of contractions that stopped when I got out of bed. I called my mw and asked her to strip my membranes that morning since I was over 41 weeks and had endured contractions for 4 weeks already. I was already a stretchy 5 cm--halfway done! I began taking the homeopathic remedy of blue cohash--the name escapes me--and regular contractions started a few hours later. I took a walk, sat on the toilet, got in the shower, and finally in the birthing pool. After a very short transition and one push, Natalie was born. DH had planned to catch her but I told him no, that I needed him right by me. So I caught Natalie instead. She is lovely and is nursing very well. We are all tired but doing great. My older daughters love their new sister!
