Shameless!

This is just a blatant "hooray for me!" thread! I learned to knit & crochet this Christmas from my mom, and these are my first finished projects for the babe on the way. I'm already itching for the next challenge.

Cute! I can't decide which hat I like best (I think the first one; love a point top) and the sweater is wonderful. Well done! It looks very smart and will be so cozy.

I LOVE the pointy little hat! You did a fantastic job on all of these, your baby is going to be so cute and cozy in them. Is the pointy hat pattern available online?

Thanks all...As a looong time sewer, for some reason I've been so intimidated by yarn and so an actual finished product is huge for me!

As for the pointy hat, it was actually a mistake. I didn't have patterns for either of the hats, and the pointy one was the first I did. I *think* what happened was I started off in the round, and sc in each loop instead of increasing the stitches. Then I realized it wasn't getting bigger, so started working 2 sc in every 3 stitch, and 1 sc in the others until it was big enough. Then I sc in every stitch, skipping every 4 until it started curving in. Then sc until it was long enough.

Yes, babe will be cozy, and our June's are usually very blustery and cool here so hopefully it will be put to good use!

Thanks again!

About two weeks, working about an hour or so a day, sometimes more. It got pretty addicting there towards the end!
