Uh...what did you say?!

Today my mom and I went grocery shopping together and as we were walking through the store I was nursing DD. A man walks by and says something to me but I couldn't quite make out what he said so I asked him to repeat it.
He gestured towards DD nursing and said,"Can I have a free sample?".
What the !
What a sick pervert! How can you make a sexual comment about my baby nursing?!! Thank goodness my mom was there to tell that sicko off because I was too stunned to say anything. Needless to say, that guy is lucky that DH wasn't with me.
I'm just glad I'm confident enough to not allow that incident deter me from NIP.

EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! That's so gross comming from a stranger! In public, and he repeated it! What a total sicko! He must be lacking a conscience! I'm so sorry for you! I'm glad that you aren't going to be detered from NIP!

"No, you can't, a$$h-le!"
Too bad neither of us could think of a snappy comeback. My DH would've punched him, too.

*Ducks and runs* I think its kind of funny : I never ever get hit on by Men unless I have nursing baby. What does that say about me?

Sounds like something my DH would have said...No worries mama, men can't help but be obsessed with things they can never have!

I'm hard to offend I guess. I've had it happen a couple of times and just given them the look I got from my Dad that says, "yes you are so amusing now slink away."

That's putting it mildly...

I think he wouldn't have made the comment if your DH had been present...it was flagrantly inappropriate, and even an idiot would have known it was wrong. I wonder what on earth he was thinking? Maybe that your arms were holding your child and therefore you weren't going to be able to hit him with your purse? Did you, perhaps, report him to the store manager? Ick.

It might have been slightly flattering if the guy hadn't been 20 years my senior.

My FIL's father said, "I'm next" once when I was nursing his first great-granddaughter. I just said, "You wish," and went about nursing. But DH's family has that kind of humor and I've found it's best to just be even harsher back.

A stranger in the store? 20 years older? Ewwww. I would have told him off too.

what a UA! sorry you had this happen to you.

so in hind sight- how about this retort-
"Sad...if you were breastfed, you would have had the respect not to comment on such an important job."
or this...
"Sure! and squirt him in the eye!" (maybe not)
or-
"Free samples of a poopy diaper? Sure thing!!!!!"
I'm here all night!
