water just broke we're off to the hospital.
----------------------------------------
full update later but....
i had a girl. i left my house with pressure every 15 minutes and arrived at the hospital two hours later at every two minutes. i checked in at 4 am and was 4-5 cm and 100% effaced.
the pressure was getting more intense and my hypnobabies lightswitch was not working for these BUT i remembered her saying that at a certain point you will welcome the next pressure wave because it means that your baby is coming.
so, i forced myself to smile and i started saying, the baby is coming. the baby is coming. i swear, as soon as i smiled the pressure dropped like ten degrees of intensity and i relaxed. i think it was because i was welcoming it instead of tensing up.
anyway, our baby girl (still no name) was born at 5:26 am. that's only an hour after i checked in at 4-5 cm! she was born in the shower because i didn't even realize i was in transition.
my midwife caught her and she went for the boobie right away. she's nursing like a champ and has been so aware and calm. so different from my first who was/is very demanding (in a good way of course!).
i'm so excited to catch up with everyone but it'll have to wait until i pump some milk out of these gigantic boobies and nurse the babe of course.
