Daily Check-in 2/17 - Page 2

40+6 here (or 41+2 if you're going off the dates my MW office has... stupid early ultrasound!) I'm ready to have this baby, but I've had nothing but prelabor for EVER. I'm just ignoring it until I can't ignore it any longer.

I think I'll go walk around the mall today and get some Mochi at the japanese department store. Delicious japanese treats will surely make me less grumpy.

Strangely, I've been measuring 36 weeks for a long time. I think the baby is REALLY low in my pelvis.

My lovely friend made me a gallon of sweet red raspberry leaf tea, and I've been drinking it like crazy and taking EPO. And I ate about 3/4 of a pineapple the other day and I'll have some more today.

I am 40 +4
I have been having contractions since last tuesday, and last night they were almost unbearable. I am exhausted, I cannot sleep. My DH is being so good to me, he is not sleeping either. He rubs my back during the contractions.
My best friend came over and scared me with the story of her sister. Her mom went 2 weeks past her due date and her sister was stillborn, so I am terrified to go any longer past mine. I still feel the baby moving though soI know she is ok.
UGH! I can't believe that someone would say that to you! Why people feel the need to try and scare very pregnant mothers is beyond me!
For the record I was 3 weeks late and came out perfectly healthy! I'm sure you and your babe will be fine.

Yes, I swear by this point in pregnancy all mamas should wear a "no scary stories, please" t-shirt.

I'm still here. Still pregnant. Last night it felt like the baby definitely moved lower and I'm feeling some cervical stuff. Exciting! I'm thinking I might attempt to go for a walk today, though it's so icy out, I don't know how safe an idea that is! I'm not good on ice anyway, but my pelvis feels so stiff and sore, it's even worse right now.

Hugs ladies! So exciting to see some of you are close/in labor!

Hi ladies --

38w5d here - still pregnant. Had some cramping a few times yesterday/in the middle of the night that I thought might be something, but it went away with position change.

I've been exhausted yesterday and all morning. I basically slept all day today and now feel better again, and I'm starving, too. Maybe my body is preparing??? I don't know. I can't believe how much I can eat right now considering how little room there is in there. I've also had a bunch of BMs yesterday/today (but nothing loose). And my boobs are leaking like crazy.

I think I just want all this to add up to something . I should probably be wanting the baby to stay inside for another day anyway since we're getting tons and tons of snow and it would be dangerous/hard for my midwife and doulas to get here. But I figure baby knows best.

Midwife/chiro appts tomorrow.

Hello all! 41 weeks today, no baby... I haven't checked in here a whole lot yesterday and today. I usually post alot from work, but since I'm on leave now, I'm doing stuff around the house. I spent alot of time yesterday and today with my SIL and her little baby. We tried out my wrap today and that little nephew of mine LOVES it! SIL and I will probably go shopping this week to find some fabric so she can make one of her own. Little nephew loves to sleep on mom and dad, and SIL can hardly get much done (let alone a drink of water). So I tried the wrap with the baby and then she tried it, and he loves it with whomever is holding him, cozies right in! She's excited about the prospect of holding him with arms free!

As for me, I keep hoping visits with his cousin will inspire my little one to grace us with his/her presence. But sometimes I feel like I will go onto week 50 or something, because it just doesn't seem like it's looming. Every so often baby's down in the pelvis, and then, other times, baby seems higher, just like before. I've been spending more time on my hands and knees too (which also puts limits on the posting time). Not much doin' yet.:

I also post on a slower computer from home, so it's a bit harder to keep up as I did at work... I will try my best to pop on a bit more tho!

: ELV's to you momma's who are getting there! And : to you mommas who are hoping to soon!

Yay for you Chris, I hope you have a wonderful and easy birth! I hate to admit it though, I'm totally jealous! I still haven't had a nap today, but I wouldn't turn down labor and birth for anything tonight. I've had a few nice ctx, feels like baby is sinking lower into my pelvis, but few is the key word!
Teeny, you're funny, 50 weeks, don't even joke like that!

we ran errands all day today. i didn't find a snappi at the one shop i hoped might have it. but my friend said she has some that we can have. yay! we walked around the town where that shop and the market are which felt so good and got chinese food from our fave lil place. got a vegan birthday cake for the babe and thoroughly confused the person behind the counter at the market.

bakery person:"do you want me to write anything on it?"

dh: "yeah, Happy Birthday."

"okay, to who?"

"uhm, well just happy birthday. it's for an unborn babe."

"what?"

DH pointing to belly, "it's for the babe when it is born. but we'll be the ones eating it."

bakery person, worried looking at me, "oh, my god. are you in labor right now?"

Me: "oh, no. sometime soon. we'll just freeze it today and thaw it when i go into labor."

bakery person laughs so much. "right. okay!"

then, we dropped the cake and soy ice cream off at the house and picked up our rottie to walk on the american tobacco trail. great walk, feeling the babe get into a good birthing position hopefully! went to pick up burt's bee's co-op order i placed and my friend wasn't home. so, got a popsicle from the popsicle store...yes, folks, my town has an entire stored devoted to homemade popsicles. it's fabulous! now, we're back home to make a pot of chili and freeze some. they are working on that while i get ready to take a brief nap.

hello everyone...it wasn't the real thing thank god...I'm exhausted though dealing with ctx all day. I tried to rest as much as I could and I'm feeling a bit better in regards to the cold. yay.

Gunter - Where do you live? I hope one day to live in a town so cool as to have an entire store devoted to popsicles!

I'm 41 + 1 today, right along with TeenyToona. No signs of the baby coming yet. My mom's first was at 43 weeks so I could still have a while yet. I'm getting around fine still but I ate to much salty food yesterday so I woke up a bit swollen.
