Thanks Julia... did you do anything different the following cycle that made it more normal?

I did. I started taking B6 and vitex to help balance estrogen and progesterone.

Some people have not had great experiences with Vitex, but since it doesn't have any terrifying side effects (I think the worst experiences have been headaches or super long cycle), I decided to try it. I saw immediate effects. The next cycle my LP was 13 days instead of 8 and there was a clear difference between my pre-o and post-o temps. There's a good deal of info on the web about vitex and B6 in relation to balancing cycles. Take a look and see if you think it might help with your particular situation.

Is this your first cycle charting with temps? Also, have your periods been regular in the past (if you know)? And are you just off of BC? Sorry for all the questions, but it might help in figuring out whats going on

I took an OPK this morning and it was *almost* positive. I'm going to take another one this afternoon to see if it's improved. The thing that pisses me off about the OPKs from earlypregnancytests.com is that even the control line doesn't get very dark (neither lines do) so it's hard to tell. I think maybe I need to saturate it longer than the directions tell me to.

I have a hard time too with my OPK which i get off of babyhopes.com -- but last months cycle I had there was a very dark test line on day 16 of my cycle -- and i think i ovulated on day 19. I didn't keep testing after that which I'm now going to do. that's why OPKs are not the most reliable thing. Frustrating!

I went off BC last June, and started charting immediately... those charts aren't online, I did them on paper. My first two cycles off BC were super long and anovulatory. I started taking Vitex in August, and saw a big improvement by my October cycle - clear temp shift, but really short LP (only 6 days!). I didn't chart Nov & Dec because I was traveling a lot and knew my temps would be really erratic... I ran out of Vitex at the end of Dec. and this is my first cycle since. I wish I would have kept on with it, maybe I would have had a normal cycle this time around.

I started taking B6 about a month ago... I'm not sure whether this super long LP is due to that, or a hormone imbalance...

CrunchyDoula - congratulations! So many BFPs lately, wow.

Would anyone be interested in starting up a thread full of healthy meal ideas/recipes for TTCers? Every Sunday I scour the web for ideas before going to the store, and it would be great if we could compile some recipes that are full of the kinds of nutrients that are needed for healthy conception/early pregnancy...

I'm still waiting to know! 13 DPO today, possibly 9 DPO!

: Congratulations to CrunchyDoula! :

As for me, just waiting for AF to end. I need to wake up at a more consistent time but for some reason during AF I just don't care enough about it to do it!

Crunchy Doula Congratulations!!! You snuck in!

Cori That's so cool that you're going to the farm! You will have to post a thread about it. I'm sure there are a LOT of girls here that would be interested in hearing about it.

Julia Man, that frequency thing is JUST what I needed to hear. See below:

Me I got a + OPK last night, so we DTD. Then I got another + this morning, so we DTD again (we're on day 5, so it's getting less "easy" as we are normally 1x/weekers). I'm afraid I'll get another + this afternoon, and poor DH is gonna run screaming from me! LOL.

I know that we don't have to have sex this much, but the OPK is making me crazy! I can't wait till I ovulate so we can stop. Ha!

Hahahahaha
I was obsessing because I failed at tearing DP away from a stupid movie last night (what an ego-booster that is) to get one more BD in. So, I was trying to make myself feel better... it worked So, I figured I'd share.

Yes, I'm soooo excited. I can hardly wait. And if I'm pregnant it'll even be better!

Congrats Crunchy Doula!!!

Me: Still in the long, long wait-to-know. I'm starting to obsess over probable non-symptoms, though ...anyone care to join me? Let's see. So far I've got slightly weird tummy issues (definitely not m/s), probably just all the chocolate I've been eating :; ever-so-slightly fuller feeling breasts, probably just wishful thinking; and a modest sex drive that is usually non-existent after I have O'd. I'm 7 dpo, 8 long days til I plan to test, unless AF comes first.

Crunchy Doula... CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I hope you have a pregnancy full of laughter with no tears.

AAM... I am now at cd8, trying to dig for EWCM. I think there might be some mixed in with the Creamy, but, not enough to be sure. Well, I'll just have to keep digging. Although, I'm not sure why I'm bothering since I may not have any semen this cycle.

Everybody think fertile thoughts! Those who are ovulating tomorrow, fertilize a future president!!! (It's president's day!!) LOL

Julia, would you please move me to Waiting to O? Thanks. I guess I forgot to ask last week to be moved. I'm on CD 4 now, so I've still got 10 to 14 days before I will be "Waiting to Know."

Crunchy Doula, congratulations! The first positive of the new thread, right?

Simply Rochelle, am I remembering correctly that your house burned down? How is everything going?
Hello - I've been on this board for a year now, but haven't joined this thread - not sure why. Anyway, can I please be added to waiting to O?

I haven't been posting much because I've had company (that and the wait to O is not very exciting).

I hope everyone is doing well!

Congrats to all the BFPs!!

Ohhh I forgot to temp yesterday (which probably was the best thing for my sanity) and when I temped today I got 97.3! I think I'll finally be able to say I'm on CD1 again soon. Woo!
