Since baby will be born this coming week, I thought it would be nice to go out with my husband once last time before I know I will be tied down for a while with a newborn/infant/baby. I don't leave my kids with just anyone. Really, only his mother, and we don't use her often because other people in the family request her services a lot and we don't want to be another frequent-requester. And I certainly wouldn't ask even her to watch a new baby. I just feel that is "my" responsibility.
Well I am kinda bummed... well a little mad & hurt... that my husband claims he doesn't want to ask her to watch the kids so we can go out today, his last day off and last chance to take me out before the baby is born. i think he just doesn't want to take me out.
seriously. The last time we went out was about 2 months ago. And since then (and before then), she has offered to watch the kids while I go to my dr appts, but I always tell her no & take the kids with me to my appts because I don't want to burden anyone else.
Oh and he also claimed, "Well I know we'll be using her a lot after the baby is born to help with the other kids." Ummm... Noooo... actually I have NEVER used ANYONE to help after a baby was born!!!!! Why the hell would I need help now?? What's the difference of having 1 toddler & 1 newborn ....vs.... 1 kid, 1 toddler, 1 newborn ....vs.... 2 kids, 1 toddler, 1 newborn. ??? I'm just not the type to need or want help. It's really not a big deal to me.
Anyway, so that's why I'm bummed. Feeling pretty unimportant at the moment. Oh well. Thanks for listening.
