I just made dd this dress http://www.wahmall.com/auctions/user...fairydress.jpg

and I"m so happy with it! It has fairies and castles and it's so soft!

My mom told me I did the gathering wrong (oops) but it still looks ok

Anyway, I just love finishing a project!
I'd love to see some of the stuff you guys create too!

Anyone else with pictures and stories to share?

Your dress is too cute!! It is so satisfying finishing a project isn't it? Right now I'm in the middle of painting my dining room table and chairs. I always have a project going on. My sewing machine is a fixture in the dining room! If I can figure out the digital camera I'll post a picture of the bags I make!! Thanks for sharing!

Sweet dress, lala!

I actually just took some digital photos the other day to email to some friends, but I have no idea where to put them on the internet so you can look at them. How do you do this?

Great idea, I'd love to see what you are all up to. I always have projects going on, too. I'm really good at having too many at the same time!

well, you have to have a free site to host them. Anyone know what site is best for that? I used to use photopoint, but they closed down

free web site for pics

A SIMPLE ...free web site for posting pictures is

www.shutterfly.com

Now, with that I'd like to see some pictures of your crafts....I'm trying to evoke the craftiness in me and need some inspiration.

Lala,

All of your stuff is SOOO adorable!! I'm totally inspired!

Your daughter is so lucky to have such a talented, crafty, loving mom...and what wonderful treasures you've made that she'll have forever!

Happy Mother's Day!

lala - that such a cute dress! I wish I was together enough to photograph and post stuff. Jeez, getting any project finished is such an achievement. I have recently finished 2 little dresses, and a pair of shorts. I'm trying to make a hand puppet which has been lots of fun. Wish we could all have a crafty aftynoon.

you can make dolls!
You have a wealth of knowledge here to help you!

MsMom talked me through the making of my first waldorf doll via email. She was great about answering my questions too!

Maybe I will try over the summer. I know that you have posted instructions in the past, can you post the link again?

What is needed to make dolls? I am not much of a sewer. The thought really intimidates me. It is nice to know that you are willing to help though. thanks!

Here is a link to the doll making instructions
http://www.sleepingbean.com/crafttipsandrecipes.asp

I don't make dolls for resale because it is WAY too time consuming, but I do like to make them

It's fun!

Mostly I just make them for trade, which works great for Christmas gifts etc. I can get some amazing stuff for dd that way for an exchange of materials and my time.

If you really are stuck with the sewing, you can order presewn doll bodies from little joys, you can even order the wigs!

Or, you could trade someone here who may be willing to make them for you too

AND silverpenny.com has cheap pocket waldorf dolls (well...cheap for waldorf dolls anyway)

I like buying my fabrics and wool from weirdolls.com
but you can make them without spending much money if you use fabrics and materials from around the house and the local craft shop!

Thanks LaLa! I will give it a try during the summer!

Here is a link to pictures of my 'stuff' - I suppose I will consider it artwork someday!

Just a warning - I'm pretty sure I have ADD - and am a bit scattered in my talents... there is an almost scary variety in there! (The descriptions are below each photo)

my projects

p.s. I love everything I've seen on here so far!!!
