For me this has varied from 2ww to 2ww depending on how long I'd been ttc and how the previous cycle went. Early on in my ttc "career" (I'm not ttc now and can't for a long while if I do again)... let's see (I'm thinking back about 10 years now)...
I would look at due date calendars and astrological charts for my future baby
I would look at baby name lists and figure out which names and initials worked well with my last name
I would go through my favorite stories and books from when I was a child and see which ones I still had and which ones I would have to buy new
I would ask my friends' children which toys, books, characters, etc. were "in" so I wouldn't feel behind the times
I would shop for maternity clothes online and imagine which clothes I would need for which season anticipating actually getting a BFP
then as time went on I would try to distract myself during the 2ww and take on more work, stock up on books to read (one 2ww I read a bunch of Judy Blume books), throw myself into my knitting or some other projects around the house or try to spend extra time with friends who didn't know I was cycling so I couldn't talk about it... it's been different for each 2ww I think.
