I'm getting to the point where I feel like my face needs some more care. I know there are a jillion fancy expensive bad-for-the environment products out there. What is your facial care routine? Or do you have one?

I have super sensitive skin and rosacea so I was always on the lookout for products that made my skin feel good and were good for the environment.
There are two brands I like. If you don't have rosacea, I might recommend MyChelle cosmetics stuff. They are fairly inexpensive, and right now they are selling off everything at 20% discount as they are re-packaging.
They do have sample kits to try, but the products in her line that I loved were the Fruit Fiesta Peel (great exfoliator), the Fruit Enzyme Cleanser, the Fruit Enzyme Mist, and the Deep Repair Cream, the Fabulous Eye Cream - but your skin might need different help.
Unfortunately, MyChelle products didn't help the rosacea. My skin was really enflamed and hurt. So a friend sent me to a link for DayBreak Lavender Farm's Calmez Vous. I balked at the price, but after reading that they WILL take returns if it's not working for me, I went for it.
The first day I started using the stuff, I didn't feel too much of a difference, except it was less hot and itchy - but the next morning, OMG! My skin didn't hurt and I could SEE that it was healing. I've now used the system for 5 days, and my skin is nearly back to beautiful and back to what I used to hear was my "perfect" roses and cream complection.
I know they have other systems for different skin types. There is a quiz on one of the pages or another. I'd recommend starting by opening a free VIP account (I think that's where the quiz is in there). With my order, they sent over a few samples of their soaps, which are lovely!
In the end, I guess I'd recommend DayBreak over MyChelle.

I really like 2 companies for face care. Terressentials, which is a little pricey, but absolutely worth it, and Kiss My Face--their obsesively organic line only, their obsessively natural line has some not so great ingredients.
