Hi,
This was spotted by a gal in my playgroup:
Iwas disturbed to read the text that Shoppers Drug Mart uses on its
website to advertise Good Start formula, claiming that mothers who
want the best for their babies should feed them formula.
(http://www.shoppersdrugmart.ca/engli.../products.html) I
believe since they don't mention breastfeeding is the best food for
babies, aren't they also breaking the formula advertising laws?
Anyway, I left them a long comment on their contact page, and am
waiting for a reply. If anyone else feels the urge to do the same,
maybe we could get them to change it?
Another poster the following instructions on how to e-mail the company:
I clicked on "contact us" on the top and it brought me to a screen
where I could ask a question and I typed "email" into the box and it
gave me the option to send an email to the head office. They kind of
give you the run around.
And finally, another poster asked the following question. Does anyone know the answer?
Who does one report violations of the WHO code to anyway?
If you have any info on the WHO code question, please let me know. It would also be great to hear if you sent Shopper's an e-mail and if you receive a response. Many thanks for your help!
